In addition to the adoption fee of $600, I will require a training deposit of $150 which is fully refundable upon completion of a training course. A refundable neuter fee will also be required.
Foster Update - We have had Crosby for a few days now and he is a great little puppy. He is smart and adventurous – he does not seem to be afraid of anything. He managed to climb some (carpeted) stairs and to get down on his own without hesitation. He pees outside when I take him out to the patio, although of course, he still has accidents at home when he plays – he is a baby. He learned to sit before I feed him and he understands the sit command in general. He is very social, he follows me around and he likes to be held. He uses a big crate during the day which he likes and considers his territory (he brings his toys there) . He peed in this crate only once (the first day). He is not too fond of the small crate that we use at night.
He wakes up about 2 times at night to pee. He is not very happy when I put him back in his crate to sleep after that and he is very vocal about it. He is quite a crooner, so he lives to his name. But eventually he falls asleep. He wakes up about 6-6.30 ready to eat and play.
Because he is a baby, he grabs everything in his mouth including people’s shoes, hands, feet or pants. Fuzzy sleepers are a big draw. His teeth are very sharp so anyone with kids needs to be aware of that.
He is very playful, he loves toys, plastic bottles, boxes, shoes….. . He likes to play near his people and from time to time, while playing with a toy he will grab a body part near his mouth.
I think he will be a great dog, probably medium to high energy, but he needs a lot of patience and training right now. He seems very smart so he will learn fast – both good things and bad!
