Meet Me at Saturday's Adoption Event! Saturday Jan 10 11-1 Kahoots 13414 Poway Rd Poway Update #2 - Max is so sweet despite having to go through the eye drop regimen. We have never heard him bark and he makes these very sweet grunting noises. Max is a velcro dog and follows us around everywhere. He sleeps on a dog bed in our room at night. Crates easily with a dog Kong. Very little interaction with squeaky toys but is warming up to them a little. We introduced him to stuffed shin bones which after initially not sure about them now loves. He loves his walks and is friendly to all dogs and humans he sees. Max truly thrives on hugs, pets and belly rubs!! His adopter will need to be committed to some type of eye care regimen but the love Max gives in return is so worth it. Update #1 - Max has a chronic dry eye issue which appears to have been untreated for quite some time. He had a consult with an eye specialist and has started a regime of eye medications which will hopefully improve his condition. He has been placed on medical hold until his follow up appointment on 01/13/26. Introduction - Max was rescued by a good samaritan who saw a social media post about Max and Lexie living in deplorable conditions. The good samaritan was able to rescue both Lexie and Max from the horrible living conditions they were in and sought out Labrador Rescuers to further assist both of these sweet Goldens. Max is a sweet GR and is good with other dogs. He needs to lose a few lbs, but that is an easy goal to achieve. Check back as we learn more about Max.
