Update Chase is doing really well at training and his handler reports he is a quick learner and very smart and eager to please. We've learned the following about Chase: • Sweet, submissive and a very good-natured pup, He loves both men and women. • Excitable when meeting new people and a little shy at times but overall has moderate energy level and can relax and settle when needed. • Doesn't know his size so no small children or unstable seniors is best (he still has puppy mentality in mature body.) • He is doing very well on the leash. Sometimes he can be strong and pull when he sees something he wants to investigate but overall Chase is learning quickly how to walk nicely beside you. • Chase has never been socialized with other dogs so meets them excitedly and can be overwhelming initially while wanting to be friendly with them. He is learning how to read their cues with the trainer's guidance and is making positive progress. Chase is less mature than his age as he hasn't had much exposure or experiences in the outside world. He is doing well learning manners and boundaries that his new family will need to continue to work on. He now knows sit, down and leave it. • In addition, he will need to meet existing family dogs initially to make sure it's a good fit for them. He can also be in a home as an only dog. Because he can be misread by other dogs with his excitement in meeting them he is not a dog for the dog park. • Chase can be sensitive to loud noises and sudden movements likely due to his sheltered world before coming to us. Chase is a very good boy excited to learn about the world around him. He will make some family a great companion. Introduction - Chase is an 8 month old deep chocolate lab who has freckles of white on his legs and hiney. AKC papers to prove he’s fully labby. He’s going to be average weight and height when he is fully grown - right now a lean 65 lbs. He has been an outdoor dog most of his life and hasn’t received much training nor socialization.
