In addition to the adoption fee of $500, I will require a training deposit of $150 which is fully refundable upon completion of a training course.
Foster Update - Jax arrived 3 days ago, and he has easily acclimated into our home. He's a big and handsome love bug! He is especially smitten with my pre-teen/ teen boys and chooses to spend his days napping on their beds or next to them on the couch, so someone is always nearby for belly rubs. He's lower energy and enjoys a couple short walks a day. For being so big, he's not a big puller but as we build his stamina/ strength, that may change, so leash training is recommended. He's a perfect house guest-- he's fully potty trained and so far seems trustworthy when left alone. We've taken a couple of trips to the ball field and he's loved all the attention. He gets along great with his foster dog siblings but generally does his own thing. I think he'd be fine with another key dog companion or by himself. Jax is looking for his person/ people that are going to dote on hm, give him proper exercise (He needs to lose a few pounds as the vet said this weight is unhealthy for his hips), and want a dog that's not completely velcro but definitely wants to cuddle up next to you on the couch or bed. Jax is an easy foster and everyone who meets him falls in love with his big head and sweet disposition.

Introduction - Meet Jax. He is just a big sweet potato. We met him at a very busy dog park and human park. He wanted to meet every little one walking by. He likes kids. Jax had an absolute blast. He met every dog and person without any issues on and off leash. He ran around the dog park and met every human and dog that was there. Jax took treats nicely and rode in car the car great. What Jax's former owner told us about him is: He is a swimmer, loves kids pool, grew up with kids, good with cats, grew up with cats, not a fetcher, and he loves walks, and loves belly rubs. Jax has also been around goats and horses and is fine with them. Fireworks don't bother him. He is a door dasher. Commands he knows is sit, get in the kennel. Jax has not been crated in awhile as he is trusted now. He is crate trained. He can be trusted inside and outside. Will counter surf for food.
His former owners shared with his AKC parents' paperwork. We have his AKC registration number and his former owners will try to get a copy of his certificate for his adopters. No promises that will happen.
Jax is really a happy sweet boy. He is now on a weight loss journey. Good thing he likes to swim. If his adoptive family has access to water to swim in, that will help keep Jax at an ideal weight.
