Foster Update #1 – Lacy gets an A+ in disposition, sweet as can be, great meeting people, neighborhood dogs, both small and large, and our favorite cat on the daily walk route. She is learning to sit and down for treats. Walking on lead was not in her wheelhouse, but she is learning. She got skittish about a car fender hitting a dip, pulled like a bull and weaved in and out lots, trying to figure it all out. Improvement on lead has been substantial and she is mostly now walking in front with much less weaving. She has learned to sit and is getting more consistent on down. Pack order is still really hard for her, but she has improved and seems to enjoy walking with the pack. She has pooped outside consistently, but still has occasional pee accidents inside. We take her out a lot and have worked on dog door consistently. She can now come in the dog door, but still does not like going out. We normally train our fosters to sit and stay for meals in pack order and they are always last in the pack, it’s been really hard for Lacy as she started at square one not yet knowing the sit command, we are still working on this, but she is again improving. Lacy will chase a ball or toy a few feet, then lays down to play with the prize for a bit. She knows the command "kennel" to crate and walks right in.

Introduction - A retiring, reputable breeder has entrusted Labrador Rescuers with beautiful purebred AKC English Labradors to find their forever homes. Friendly, engaging and sociable, this dog will make a wonderful pet to any home committed to their training. They will need basic training skills, but know some commands. Rides quietly in the car, gives sweet kisses and is eager to please. Walking on a leash is new to this pup and leash training is necessary. This dog comes with their AKC registration form.
