Foster Update- Mac is really a great dog! One of the easiest dogs I’ve fostered. He’s been here for several days and here is what I’ve learned… * after he sniffed around the yard and inside, he laid down on a dog bed in the family room, perfectly content * very easygoing, nothing seems to bother him * he’s learning the dog door * walks well on a training collar (have not tried w/o it as I’m walking three dogs) * likes to chill, voluntarily goes into an open crate after a walk or being outside * also does well when crated for errands, but not really necessary * really appreciates a good rub * he’s doesn’t play fetch, but interacts with my boys well, in fact, seems he would like a dog pal to hang with * gets occasional zoomies and he’s fast as lightening * doesn’t seem to know his name, but learning it…. we tried a lot of other names with no reaction * could become velcro if allowed * no digging or other bad behaviors; only barked once; doesn’t get on furniture * best of all, he doesn’t seem to shed! Whoever adopts him will be very lucky!

Introduction - Mac joined Labrador Rescuers by way of a shelter. This handsome boy may be a slight mix. Mac entered the shelter back in December and had some type of trauma. It appeared he may have been hit by a car. The shelter took great care of Mac and he has recovered. Mac has met another shelter dog and a volunteer's dog. No issues with either of them. Mac was trusted on leash and off leash. He was very well behaved. Mac knows sit. He takes treats softly.. Mac likes to go for walks and will happily jump in your car. He likes pets and will let you touch him all over. He is dark chocolate and sometimes looks black. Please check back with us as we learn more about Mac.
