Foster Update: Thumper is getting comfortable in his foster home, so has become a typical Lab puppy that gets himself into trouble. He will chew up anything he can reach and he has great counter surfing skills. He is pretty good on leash with an Easy Walk harness. He has played with kids ages 10 & 13 and thought it was great fun. He likes to fetch and will bring the ball back to be thrown again. He can use a dog door and will go out when needed. He eats in his crate and sleeps in his crate at night in his foster mom's bedroom however he is unhappy and barks if crated during the day. He will do best in a home with older kids since he puts everything in his mouth, older kids should be fine if they pick up after themselves. His ideal forever home should have someone who is home most of the time and another older dog similar in size as he likes to play and looks to the other dogs in his foster home for direction. Thumper is a smart dog and really wants to please, he will be a great addition to an adopter committed to training.
Introduction: Thumper was found on the streets as a stray with injuries, we don't know what happened to him, the shelter reached out to Lab Rescuers, who put a plan in to help the sweet boy. He did great on a dog to dog test so we believe he is good with other dogs and is a really sweet cute boy. Thumper is going to a partner vet to see what treatments he needs, and then he will be in a rehab foster home to recover and shortly after he will be available for adoption. Stay posted for updates on the sweet guy.
