Foster Update: Rosie is a happy sweet pup. She is quite big for her estimated age of 9 months and probably still has a bit more growing to do. Although she has grown out of many of the puppy characteristics, she is still learning how to be a good house dog. Like all puppies she will need a family that is committed to training. She has only had one accident in the house, but that is due to us being very vigilant. She walks pretty well on leash considering no training - not a puller at all. She sleeps through the night in her crate in our room and seems to be fine in her crate when we leave for short spurts. Rosie is gentle, loves to cuddle, and is happy being near her people at all times. If she gets lots of walks throughout the day she happily settles on her dog bed and relaxes when appropriate. She loves to chew on her stuffies and will pick up anything else she finds, so definitely needs a family that is ready to keep her well exercised and stocked with appropriate chew toys. Introduction: Rosie, the long legged sweetheart, is everything Doodle fans love- smart, gentle and fun. She is standard size and may have a little more growing to do, as she is still a puppy at 9 months. Rosie is past the puppy hand chewing stage but does like to jump up to say hi. She is easy to train, as she learned her name and “come” in a day. As an excellent car companion and “pretty good on the leash” puppy, she looks forward to accompanying you on adventures. She is sure to draw attention with her size and cute looks. At a volunteer’s home, she had a blast playing with a similarly sized dog with good energy- chase, tug of war with a rope toy and a game of “look, let’s play with this sock I found”. She was fine with the horses and even planted some gentle kisses on the mini horse. Rosie did, however, show a strong interest in chasing the resident house kitty so is better suited to a home without kitties. An affectionate girl, her forever family will have to be ready for kisses and a big dog wanting to be a lap dog.
