Foster Update - Frida is socially amazing. She is super friendly to everyone she meets, doesn’t jump up, and is very respectful. Everyone loves this little beauty! Frida loves other dogs, is on the submissive side, and loves to play fetch. She gets along well with the resident cat in her foster home.

She is a lower energy girl, but will keep up with her family! She is still a puppy, but doesn't act like it! Frida’s favorite activity is couch! She loves to sleep on the couch, cuddle on the couch, and hang out on the couch!

She is GREAT on leash and is very easy to take anywhere. She likes to stop and smell everything. She rides well in the car, and just really wants to be with you. Frida has separation anxiety, but we are working on this with daily medication ($20/mo) and training. Our guess is that she was left in the crate for long periods making her afraid to be alone. She sleeps very well in the crate through the night as long as you are in the room. She is also very good in the house when you are home and doesn’t chew, except when you leave a leash on her unattended. She will chew it off. We’re guessing that she is afraid you will tie her up and leave her.

She is an opportunist when you leave the room with food around, and very clever. She does need more work on potty training outside the home. She learned potty etiquette in her foster home, but still needs work outside the home. She will not potty on walks, and will sometimes seek carpet when she visits other homes. She is making progress on crate training and will need a secure yard. Little Frida is an absolute doll and is worth the additional training to help her become her best self.

Introduction - Please welcome Frida, the cutest girl ever! Frida arrived at the shelter with some road rash on her face and body and was suspected a hit-by-car victim. The shelter sent out a plea and we of course had to get her out of there. After our vet checked her out, she got the all clear! She is being spayed and will be ready to go to her foster home to recover before she starts meeting her new forever family. Frida is described as a super sweet girl by the vet staff and she might even be good with a cat pal in her new home. Please check back for updates from her foster parent.
