Blanche is an adorable young-at-heart 9 year old white lab found at a shelter. After having been there for two weeks, she was one happy girl to hop in the car with our volunteers. She rode great in the car, even took a nap, after giving lots of kisses to her new human friends.

Foster Update - 03/30/24 Blanche is a super sweet girl and we have lots of great things to say about her. She's a gorgeous white Lab. She seems to be a little overweight so we've got her on a bit of a diet to see if she can shed a few pounds. Blanche is short and stocky with a slightly blocky head. I suspect she is a P/B English Lab but her head is not quite as blocky as other English Labs I've fostered so I'm not 100% sure. Blanche is a low energy gal, about a 4.0 to 4.5. She hasn't barked yet so she's probably not a barker. She gets along with the rest of our pack (3/F & 1/M) but is somewhat indifferent towards them. I think she would do well as a singleton or with other compatible dogs. Her first day home she corrected Ringo (#5586) twice for being an over sniffer but there have been no issues since then. She's a good eater, slow and methodical. Blanche doesn't appear to be a toy oriented dog. She loves getting rubs/scritches of any kind and doesn't hesitate to let you know she wants more. Sometimes she jumps up to seek more affection but she's pretty gentle; she doesn't seem to be a classic "jumper". She seems to know some commands but she's so easy going commands are few and far between. She sleeps though the night. She's housebroken. She handles stairs well. She's good on a leash. She's mildly Velcro. She loves to go for car rides and would be a good travel companion. She doesn't seem to have any SA. So far she has proven trustworthy when left home alone. She doesn't beg at the dinner table. She's takes great interest in all the bunnies we have running around the yard so I have some concerns about her with cats. She's got a great easy-going, happy personality and I think she would do well with children but I want to get to know her more first. She's going to be spayed and have some dental work on 4/2 and should be available around 4/18.
