Foster Update #2: We've had Duke for over a week now and he's truly a beautiful dog. He's still got his puppy playfulness but knows several commands (sit, stay) and walks beautifully on leash. He loves his toys and loves to chew on his chew sticks. He sleeps all night in his kennel (although tends to wake up before we'd like and whines to be let out). He is good with the cats too! He does exhibit some separation anxiety. He will not be crated during the day, so if we need to go out he and my dog spend the time in the backyard (he seems comfortable with this as he was used to being outside in his prior life). Duke is a catch for a family wanting a gorgeous young dog that knows some manners!

Foster Update #1: Duke is a very good looking young boy with a soft coat. He welcomes attention and likes to be petted. He needs a little more training but is curious and receptive and has great potential. Duke’s nickname is Buddy, he wants to be everyone’s friend. He’s super with other dogs and bonds quickly with his human family. Duke loves to play fetch, he enjoys dog toys and chews. He sleeps all night on his dog bed and is housetrained, zero accidents inside. He lets you know when he wants out. He sits for treats and takes them gently. Duke enjoys riding in cars and usually lays down or just watches the world going by. He’s making progress on his leash walking with the use of a new harness. Duke would love another friendly dog to pal around with in his new home, he’s partial to females but a big brother to show him the ropes would be great too. And most of all he wants his human(s) around him most of the time.
