Foster Update: -Awesome companion dog. -Low maintenance. -Gentle as can be and very chill. -Loves all humans. -Sweet snuggles and little kisses and loves to cuddle. -Velcro dog, but in a soft and quiet way. -She is extremely mellow with no jumping, barking or fast movements. -Non-destructive, as we never kennel her. -Zero food aggression and an extremely gentle mouth when feeding treats. -She would be fine just hanging in the house all day, but enjoys to go on small sniffing adventures especially in the backyard and on small walks. -Dolly will initially do a few defensive barks when meeting new dogs once they come near her, basically stating "leave me alone" and then she is indifferent to them. She wants to be your one and only best friend so would be best with no other pets in the home. -Very messy water drinker, but what Lab isn't. -Doesn't know basic command (sit, stay, etc) and doesn't seem interested in learning them. -If off leash, she will go wandering as her nose will take her on an adventure and potentially get lost, so she needs to be in a secure yard.

Introduction: Meet Dolly, she was a stray that was picked up by animal control and brought to the shelter. It looks like she was bred, neglected and dumped. In spite of that, she loves people. Dolly loves affection and pets. She met several neighbors and a toddler and was gentle and kind when meeting them all. She was not interested in treats. She just wanted love. The shelter had her in a foster home. She was fostered with two other dogs. She loved exploring the yard. She was indifferent to the dogs and did her own thing. She needs proper introductions to other dogs. She does not like other dogs running up and getting in her face. She likes a walk taking turns sniffing each other and building trust first. Dolly did chase the foster's cats. No cats for her in her forever home. She was curious about a chicken we saw in the park. Dolly is great in car. No sound from her on our long car ride. She does come to you wagging her tail asking for affection. Dolly is a sweet senior who wants a nice walk and love. She doesn't ask for much. Would probably do best in a home without other dogs.
