Foster Update: Elroy has a cruciate tear and is scheduled for TPLO surgery on 12/12/23. He will be available for adoption once he has completed his post op rehab. Foster Update: Elroy is doing well. He has been at the dog park and absolutely loves all his dog friends. He is in a foster home with two male dogs and one female dog. He takes treats gently. He does need work on his leash skills. He was quick to bond with my adult son, not sure if he prefers men or just bonds with one person. He is house trained and is not at all destructive, no counter surfing either, he is very trustworthy. He will do best with minimal alone time as he wants to be with his person 24/7. He will chase cats so needs a home without kitties. He tolerates having his short tail pulled, fingers in his eyes and mouth and just being messed with, so he seems child proof. Elroy is such a wonderful dog and will be perfect for someone who works from home, has kids and lots going on at home. Elroy really settled in nicely with his foster family. He felt the much needed love between people and dogs and truly enjoyed it. Elroy would be perfect for a retired person or couple who can make him the center of their world. He would be easy to take on errands, walks on the beach, visits to the dog park, and dinners with family and friends of all ages. He is up for any adventure as long as he is with his loved ones. He would give back his love 10-fold to be the prince in the family. Intro: This gorgeous boy came to the rescue by way of his owners. Their living and work situation changed and they could no longer provide Elroy the time they feel he deserves. Elroy grew up with kids and is great with them. He does not jump on people and has pretty good manners. He does well at the dog park and with other dogs. He's a tall, strong boy who was well loved by his family.
