Foster Update: Charlie loves other dogs and people and really seems to want to please. He knows sit and will sit politely for his meals. He is curious about everything, no fear with the vacuum, blow dryer or other loud noises. He responds well to "go potty" however is still working on housetraining, he is not a marker (he squats to pee). He does counter surf and needs work on his leash skills so needs a patient adopter willing to continue his training and be rewarded with a great companion. Meet Charlie, he’s a cute 7-8 mo old yellow Dudley Lab that belonged to a guy who said he didn’t have time for him and was going to bring him to the shelter. The next door neighbor asked him instead if she could take him and find him a home. So here he is, safe with LR, rather than going to a scary shelter. We found Charlie to be a really sweet and handsome young dog who just needs a little more basic training. Charlie does pull on the leash, but he knows sit and down, takes treats gently, he is crate trained and sleeps in his crate at night, and he loves car rides. He was a bit too interested in the free roaming cat at the vet so will do best in a home with no kitties or small critters. Please check back for updates.
