Rosie’s foster home update 11/3/22: Rosie has been in her foster home for over a week now and is doing great. She knows the doggie door, but prefers to go outside as a group. We have a morning and evening routine and play ball a couple times a day. Her favorite thing to do is play ball, and will return it to you, but doesn’t drop it unless you have a treat. She also likes walks. She does fine walking near busy street noise and walking past people and other dogs because she is more interested in sniffing her surroundings than anything else. Her personality is over the top cute. She doesn’t like to be left behind, but has been fine left in the house with outdoor access with her two fur foster brothers for up to 6 hours. Her long yawn after the initial excitement is a tell-tell that she had been sleeping. She loves to sleep with you and is a great cuddler. She’s not a swimmer, but likes to go on the baja step. She is afraid of loud noises that are not common to your home. The sound of power tools and banging household items don’t seem to bother her, but weather related noises and loud booms make her shake. Noise such as the TV seem to help. She hiked in the rain the other day and did great. She seems to love the great outdoors. She’s still shy with new people, but will eventually warm up if the person ignores her. It especially helps if they pet our other dogs. She is a darling girl and has so much love to give.

Rosie’s foster home update first couple days: Rosie is an absolute doll. Her soulful gaze will steal your heart…and her head tilt is adorable. Don’t let her graying whiskers fool you; She is well muscled and in very good shape. She pops into the SUV easily and loves the ride. She has a nice dainty gait, but will also run like the wind. She takes treats gently and will sit and lay down for them. She likes to cuddle with you on the couch and share your bed. She met her two foster brothers easily and is very respectful of them. She fit into our home easily and is a joy to have around. Check back for more updates as we get to know her better.

Meet Rosie. A super sweet and extremely loveable girl who's been with her owner all her life until he passed away recently. Rosie is a perfect dog for a family that wants a loving dog to be at their side waiting for some love and affection, and in return, will be your faithful family member with fur.

Here's what we know: She is shy (but warms up quickly once she connects with you). She is good with other dogs. She is house broken and walks easily on leash. She is very gentle and needs to reconnect with her new forever family after losing her beloved human recently. Check back as we discover more about this sweet loveable girl with white whiskers ;)

NOTE: Rosie has been living in north county San Diego (Vista / Gopher Canyon) and the shelling at Marine Corps Base, Camp Pendleton has been causing her to become anxious in combination with the loss of her human. So she will need to find a home outside of the range of ordinance shelling at Camp Pendleton.
