Foster Update: Callum is a very sweet, big boy, with the sweetest eyes. He is hyper and bouncy at times. He loves to play tug-of-war and may jump up. He will need proper exercise. He plays well with our Great Pyrenees, and is well behaved in the house. Callum has a deep bark. He sleeps through the night, either in his crate or in the gated living room. He did pee in the house but only once, nothing since. He has a thing for shoes and pillows, so we have to keep those put away :) He does well on a leash, and sometimes wants to play tug-of-war. If you’re a jogger, he does even better! He isn’t a jumper, but likes to stand on his hind legs. He can come down pretty hard, especially when he has a rope in his mouth! He knows Sit, and we are working on down now. He does just fine being alone when needed. We have two cats and he’s not afraid or aggressive towards them. Mainly just interested, but leaves them be. He would do well with a family who has older, stronger kids, who are used to big dogs, or with an active owner who will play with him and keep him entertained at times. With all young dogs, Callum will benefit from formal training. Introduction: Callum was found as a stray on the streets and taken to the local shelter. No one came for him so the shelter reached out to Lab Rescuers to help him. He is a big, gorgeous boy who was very happy to be sprung from the shelter and bounced around in the hallway with joy. Once outside he settled and jumped right in the car to make his getaway. Callum was a busy chap in the car rearranging bedding and carrying around a large water bowl. He takes treats gently and will sit when asked but his leash experience seems limited. Callum seems slightly fluffier than most labs so may be a bit of a mix. His coat is soft and shiny and his has some cute waves on his back. Callum likes to give gentle kisses. He is new to us so please check back as we learn more about him.
