Foster Update: Sheeba is a sweet girl and likes being close. She has been with other dogs in the house (7 year old female lab and an older small dog) and is living with a 4 yr old male Lab mix in her foster home. She also would be fine as an only dog if she can be with her humans and have a lot of fetch/play/activity time. She loves playing fetch with a ball and will carry the ball around to remind you. She definitely has a lot of energy but is able to settle. She prefers cuddling on the couch and a human that would let her sleep with them in the human bed. She loves to sleep on her back. She knows her basic commands. We are working on wait as she gets her meals. She is a quick study but will need ongoing training consistency. She is trustworthy in the house. She does alert bark and is good at opening doors that are not totally shut with her nose. Rides great in the car - very interested in looking out the window and observing what is passing by. We are working on her leash manners - she gets very excited and pulls but does best when there are no other distractions. She does have some leash reactivity to other dogs and some men - we are working on her sitting and getting a treat. She enjoys hanging out in the backyard to soak in some sun and also check the yard for lizards. Sheeba will make a great addition to an active family.
Intro: Meet Sheeba, an amazing 3 yro black lab who has lived with other dogs and small kids. Sheeba loves chasing the ball and dropping it at your feet. She is a younger, energetic girl looking for a home with athletic parents who will want to run, hike and explore the planet with her. Keep checking back for updates on Sheeba.
