Hi all, please welcome Lucy! She just joined our LR family. Her original family is moving out of state and is heartbroken to have to rehome her. We promise that we will take extra good care of her and will find Lucy the best home she so deserves.

Lucy is a sweet 7 year old girl, super mellow and loves to be around people. She is submissive and gets along with other dogs and cats Please come back and read the update from her foster family if you are interested in being her fur-ever family!

Meet Lucy, aka Ms. Manners. Lucy is a sweet 7 year old girl, super mellow and loves to be around her people. She is submissive and gets along with other dogs. She is completely potty trained and while she will go into her crate with no problems, she prefers to sleep on a dog bed outside the crate. She is trustable in the home unsupervised. When left alone (but still with her foster dog brother) she just sleeps and waits for your return. She gets along wonderfully with all the pups she has met so far. She loves to greet visitors. And while she gets excited to see new people she does not jump. She gets very excited for her walks, which is great because she could benefit from losing a few pounds. As much as she loves her walks, she is content spending the remainder of the day at your feet. She shares her home with a 100lb male German Shepherd and 3 adorable kitties. Lucy does fine with kitties. Lucy is a very special pup that is looking for a forever home that will give her lots of love, attention, and walks.

It was noticed in late February that Lucy was limping. X-rays revealed that she needed knee surgery on her left knee and her right hip replaced. Her knee surgery (TPLO) was done 4/30/2022. She has recovered from that and then had her hip replacement on 6/30/2022. The recovery period is estimated to be 3 months for the hip replacement. Lucy should be ready for meet & greets and to find her forever home around the beginning of October.
